Snow Cute Scrapbook Layout

I'm super excited about sharing this adorable scrapbook layout I created for Sweetnothingstampco. using the new digi image "Snowman Love Sophie".

I love using digi images as embellishment on my scrapbook layouts. "Snowman Love Sophie" was the perfect embellishment I needed on this layout of my kiddos playing in the snow.

I used Jolly and Craft Fair pattern paper by American Crafts for my layout along with white textured card stock.  I created the snow hill using the Aspen Court designer template from Kiwi Lane Designs, tracing along with a snow marker, adding distressed rock candy stickles and diamond dust to create the look of snow.  I repeated the same process with the snow marker, stickles and diamond dust on Sophie's snowman. I love how Sophie's snowman actually looks like he is made of snow!
I colored Sophie with my Specturm Noir markers and added my final embellishment to finish off my scrapbook layout.

I hope I have inspired you to use one of the Sweet Nothing Stamp Co. images as an embellishment on your next scrapbook layout.

Altered Wooden Calendar

December so far has been a crazy busy month for me. I am almost finished with our families Christmas shopping, but I have yet to bake any holiday goodies or ship anything out in the mail. I'm looking forward to the "New Year" and to help me keep on track, I created an altered wooden calendar for my design team project for I Am Roses.

I'm regretting not taking a picture to show you just how hideous this calendar was before I altered it. I purchased it on clearance a while back at my local Hobby Lobby. It's original state was unfinished with a sailor's anchor on it. Yup you read that right. I knew as soon as I saw it I needed to take it home with me and that someday I'd turn it into something fabulous!

I stained the wooden numbers and months using Rangers Distress Stain in Walnut along with the side of the calendar holder. I added a floral print pattern paper by American Crafts and black daisy trim from Pro31designs around the edges. I completed my calendar by embellishing the area which once was home to the anchor with black Prima bling and I Am Roses.

The I Am Rose Products I used to embellish my calendar box are:
Black rose, originally brown (altered with black LSG spray): R76
White Large Crochet flower: JC 2 - 151
Green Sm Skeleton Leaves: K1 - 50
Sm Pink Roses: R3 - 00
Medium Rose Buds: T30 - 151

Be sure to stop by iamroses to find all the beautiful flowers I used and many more.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Scrapping and Happy Holidays!

"All Wrapped Up" IAR December Challenge

I love the month of December! I love listening to Christmas music, decorating the house, baking, and especially giving gifts!

This months December IAR challenge is all about enhancing your gift wrapping with IAR products! Be sure to stop by the IAR blog to find out how you can enter this months challenge.

I love wrapping gifts almost as much as crafting! I love giving a beautifully wrapped gift away. I look at it this way, if you are going to take the time to find the perfect gift for someone, then you should take the time to make it look special.

I had some kraft Christmas printed bags on hand from last year. (I like to stock up after Christmas) The bag is nice as is, but there wasn't anything special about the bag. I loved the vintage look of the bag so I  knew I wanted to keep my IAR flowers in the traditional Christmas colors.  Using several color sprays from my Lindy Stamp Gang collection, I was able to alter my white IAR flowers to the colors I wanted. I love adding texture to projects like this using burlap, ribbon and flower sprays.

I love the way my altered kraft Christmas bag turned out! I can't wait to find the perfect gift to add inside!

I Am Roses flowers used:
