Colorful Flower Cards

I don't know about you, but I love to color! I find it so relaxing and I just love how you can take a black and white image and turn it into something fabulous!

For this month's I AM ROSES Design Team project, I decided to create three colorful cards using the same digi image. I'll be adding these cute cards to a few gifts I put together for my children's teachers.

My May Design Team Kit from I AM Roses was so colorful and so inspiring! Be sure to stop on by IAMROSES.COM and check out not just the fabulous flowers I used in my projects, but check out all the flowers they have to offer.

Here are a few photos of each of the cards I created as well as the item number to the flowers I used on each card.

Look What I Colored

Just a quick share of a card I created to send off to the "winner" of the Pro31designs.com giveaway.  I finally got a chance to play with my new Spectrum Noir Markers.

I've been down sick for awhile and the minute I felt better I cracked open my markers and away I went coloring.  I really like these markers so far and I adore the new S.W.A.K image stamps Pro31designs.com is now carrying. They are so super cute and so fun to color!

"I AM ROSES" MAY Color Challenge ~Honoring My Grandama

It's hard to believe it's May already, which means it's time for another I AM ROSES CHALLENGE! Be sure to check out the I AM ROSES blog for all the details on how you can enter to win some fabulous flowers!

For this color challenge we were to use purple and/or teal/turquoise. Boy was I in for a challenge!!!! I don't use purple or really even scrapbook with purple, so I challenged myself to use more purple than teal/turquoise.

I had this picture of my grandma that was passed down to me from my mom which actually is a photo copy of the original. I've been wanting to scrapbook a memory of my grandma Rose for quite sometime now and found that now would be the perfect time to honor her memory! Not only was this a challenge for me to use purple but I found it to be a challenge emotionally!

This coming September my grandma will be gone 11 years. Wow, I can't believe she's been gone that long already! My grandma Rose was such a huge influence in my life growing up! I give her the credit for introducing me to art! She was an amazing ceramic artist/teacher, and was so clever when it came to creating outside the box. Everyone looked up to her as she was an inspiration to all! The layout I created is in honor of my grandma Rose to remember what an amazing and talented woman she was!

Be sure to check out IAMROSES.COM were you can find all the beautiful flowers I used on this layout. I'll have all the item numbers listed below.

Don't forget to stop on over at the I AM ROSES BLOG and join this months CHALLENGE!
