"Fall" in Love Scrapbook Layout

Happy Fall!

Wow, it's hard to believe fall is already here! I'm sad to see summer end, but love seeing the changing colors of all the trees and bushes around my area.

For this months IAR dt project I created a 12x12 scrapbook layout of my youngest son a few years back.  I've been wanting to scrapbook this picture for quite sometime and I'm so glad I waited. I received the perfect flowers in my dt package to go with this picture.

I used 2 white daisies and 2 orange/rust daisies along with a few brown maple leaves tucked under my pumpkins.

Be sure to stop by I Am Roses for your fall flowers needs. Don't forget to check out all the wonderful flowers IAR's has to offer.

Happy Fall everyone!

Saying Good-bye to Summer with Lemonade

Hello there my Scrappy Friends!

It's hard to believe summer is coming to an end! As the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end"! LOL! I am a huge fan of summer and would prefer to live somewhere where it is summer all year round. Well with that being said, I get to experience all the seasons living in Colorado.

With weather still ranging in the 80's I find myself reaching for a cold glass of lemonade or ice tea to cool myself down. As a busy mom of 3, I love items that are conveniently pre-packed. Yes, I know sometimes you pay more, but sometimes it's just worth it. I love that I can easily throw a few packs of lemonade into my purse and grab a bottle of water and have lemonade anytime I want.

I love when you have one of those A-ha moments, and that's what happened to me. I love giving little gifts, just the smallest gift can really make someones day. So I thought it'd be fun to give some of my friends little gifts of lemonade as a way of saying good-bye to summer.

"Lemonade Stand Sophie" was the perfect image to use for my lemonade treat bags!

I wanted to keep this project fairly simple, so I colored "Lemonade Stand Sophie" with my Copic markers, fussy cut her out and added some sparkle with my Atyou Spica glitter pens to her banner as well as all of the lemonade. I just love how the lemonade stands out! I also added 2 turquoise twine bows to the ends of her lemonade banner.

I ran a glassine treat bag through my cuttlebug using the polka dots embossing folder to give it some fun texture. I added a coordinating piece of pattern paper from Little Yellow Bicycle and trimmed it off with some blue chevron washi tape. From the LYB pattern paper I cut a free hand flag and some of the preprinted lemons out. I then added yellow stickles around the edges of the lemons to make them sparkle. I attached the flag and the lemons to a paper straw I decorated using washi tape than added my image of "Lemonade Stand Sophie" to the glassine bag.  I finished off my lemonade treat bag by adding a few pre-packed lemonade mixes inside and closing it with a piece of washi tape.

I can't wait to share my saying good-bye to summer lemonade treat bags with my friends!

Don't forget to stop on by the SNSC shop, where you can find "Lemonade Stand Sophie" as well as many other cute digi images.

"Something WICKED this Way Comes" I Am Roses "September" Challenge

Are you ready for a super fun Challenge from I Am Roses this month?

The challenge for this month is to create a circle card with a Halloween theme. Be sure to stop by the I Am Roses blog for more details on how to enter the challenge.

Here is my inspiration for the challenge.

I created my circle card by first cutting out the base of the circle from my cricut. I decided to use the Magic of Oz from G45 as my pattern paper which also set the theme for my card. I wanted to create some texture on my card in the background, so I used my chicken wire stencil and some Lindy stamp gang strays. I added a fun green lace trim around the edge of my card that also gave it texture. I then fussy cut out some images from the pattern paper and begin creating this fun Halloween circle card.

I've had the "something Wicked this way comes" stamp for quite a while and knew this would be the perfect time to use it. I stamped the saying onto a piece of canvas and attached to a banner I created out of the paper collection. I also cut strips of canvas and tied them around the black and white straw which holds up the banner on the card.

In this months design team package I received fall colored daisies. I was excited to find a variety of colors which worked very well with the theme of my card. I added some bronze stickles to the centers of the daisies to give them a little sparkle. I also added in fall colored leaves from I am roses in browns and green tones.
Be sure to check out all the beautiful daisies I Am Roses has in stock including the ones I used on my card.
Daisies I used: Mix browns & Mixed Brown/Orange
Leaves I used: Mixed Brown Maple Leaves

Here is a look at the inside of my card.
