3 Cards, 3 Different Styles

I'm excited to share with you 3 cards I created for the I Am Roses Design Team.  I wanted to show you just how versatile I Am Roses are no matter what your style is.  Did you know that I Am Roses also carries beautiful mulberry butterflies, crochet flowers, skeleton leaves, and a huge variety of flowers other then just roses.

Here is the first card I created.  I just love this cute House Mouse stamp I got for my birthday! I wanted to create a simple card using it that was colorful and fun.

Sm mixed leaves: L20 - 427, Big Crochet mix JC2 - 427,
Cherry Blossom mix: S3 - 427, & Sm mixed Butterflies; BF1 - 427

For my second card I colored this cute little digi image and created more of a softer shabby chic style card.  I just love the softness of this card paired with the beautiful I Am Roses!

Big Soft Pink Gardenias: GB4 - 124, Sm White Crochet flowers: ZJC1 - 152, Mini Pink Rose Buds: T1 - 3, White Semi Open Rose Buds: T30 - 151, Sm Green Skeleton Leaves: K1 - 50, & Big Natural Skeleton Leaves: K3 - 805 / Z

For my last card I wanted to create a whimsical card, but I also wanted to challenge myself and use my I Am Roses in a different way.  Meaning, not using them the way they came.  I just love how I turned some flowers into clouds and others into grass!

White Daisy: P23 - 1, Mini White Hydrangea: ZP9 - 1, Sm Random mixed Curly Gardenia: GP2 - 427

Vacation & Rambling

It's been awhile, I know...I've just recently returned home from vacation.
Can you guess where we went?

To the "Happiest Place on Earth"! Disneyland!

We've been planning our vacation for a little over a year, knowing once school let out, we'd be packing and heading to California to see Mickey! It was so nice to get away and enjoy experiencing Disneyland with our kids!  The last time we had been to Disney, our daughter was 2 yrs old, well she is 10 now, and our oldest son was just a baby! Boy, time sure flies!!!

We all had such a great time seeing all the Disney characters, riding ALL the rides and taking in all the shows!  By vote, we all decided that our favorite ride as a family was in California Adventure, "The Hollywood Tower  Hotel"!  Yes, even my little 6 yr. old went on it twice and loved it!

After spending 4 days at Disney, we ventured on a little trip to our old stopping ground, San Diego!  I've grown to really like living in Colorado, but I'm still a San Diego girl at hear!t I love going back and visiting whenever I get the chance.  This time we went back knowing we were going to take the kiddos to Lego Land.  I'm pretty sure visiting Lego Land was our boys favorite part of our whole vacation!

You know how it goes, it's always wonderful to get away and take a vacation, but it's so nice to be back home, and then once you get home, you feel like you need to take a vacation from the vacation you just had! LOL!!!

It's good to be back home and in my craft room creating once again!  I loved our family vacation and all wonderful things we were able to do, I'm looking forward to scrapping those memories!

I have created some projects since returning and I will share those soon.

Enjoy!

"I AM ROSES" JUNE CHALLENGE

I love the month of June, not only because it's my birthday month but its the start of Summer!  June also is known for the month of Weddings, which makes this months I Am Roses Color Challenge perfect. The theme for this months challenge is "Bridal" and monochromatic.  Be sure to stop on over at the I Am Roses blog to find out all the details on how you can enter this months challenge.

I created a 12x12 scrapbook layout using "white" as my monochromatic color.  I had so much fun layering and adding all the beautiful white I Am Roses onto this layout.  I have to admit, I've never scrapped a monochromatic layout before, and I'm in love!  I can't wait to try it again!!!

I used two different I Am Roses products on my layout.  The small clustering of flowers in the corners of my layout are P41 - 15 Poinsettias and the three large roses are R21's.  I sprayed all my flowers with Scintillating Silver from Lindy Stamp Gang which added just the right amount of sparkle!

Be sure to stop on by my youtube channel "Scrapsofmine" to see how I created my monochromatic "Bride" layout and don't forget to check out all the details at iamroses-challenge.blogspot.com on how you can enter our June Color Challenge.

Just incase you've hopped out of order, here is the order of our blog hop:

I have 2 amazing giveaways for you plus a freebie, but before I get to those giveaways, I want to share a card I created using items from Pro31designs.com.

I created this 6x6 card using white card stock for my base and pattern paper from the
New London Market PinkPaislee collection.  I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink and distressed the edges of my pattern paper.
I added this gorgeous trim and altered it using Turquoise Glimmer Mist. I wrapped some twine around the trim and added my favorite flowers 8130's in turquoise & ivory; I also added 8050E flowers in brown. I distress all the flowers with Frayed Burlap Distress ink. I removed 3 layers of petals from the 8050E brown roses and created my own rose buds. I also tucked in 2- 3 Tone Wheat Sprays in brown to finish off my flower cluster as well as tucking in a flower cluster punch I punched out and altered with Frayed Burlap distress ink.

The last and final embellishment I added to my card is this super cute Stamped image by S.W.A.L.K.  She is from collection 1, and is called "Get Well Soon".  I did alter her just a little, I wanted her to look happy so I changed her mouth to a smile by just simply using a black pen.  She's stamped on Ultra Smooth Premium White Card stock with black Momento ink and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Markers used - Skin: FS2, FS3, & TN2. Cheeks: FS6. Hair: EB5, EB8, TN7 & TN8.
Dress & Hair Bows: TB1 & TB2. Eyes: TB3
