Snow Cute Scrapbook Layout

I'm super excited about sharing this adorable scrapbook layout I created for Sweetnothingstampco. using the new digi image "Snowman Love Sophie".

I love using digi images as embellishment on my scrapbook layouts. "Snowman Love Sophie" was the perfect embellishment I needed on this layout of my kiddos playing in the snow.

I used Jolly and Craft Fair pattern paper by American Crafts for my layout along with white textured card stock.  I created the snow hill using the Aspen Court designer template from Kiwi Lane Designs, tracing along with a snow marker, adding distressed rock candy stickles and diamond dust to create the look of snow.  I repeated the same process with the snow marker, stickles and diamond dust on Sophie's snowman. I love how Sophie's snowman actually looks like he is made of snow!
I colored Sophie with my Specturm Noir markers and added my final embellishment to finish off my scrapbook layout.

I hope I have inspired you to use one of the Sweet Nothing Stamp Co. images as an embellishment on your next scrapbook layout.

Don't forget to check out all the adorable images SNSC has to offer.

Altered Wooden Calendar

December so far has been a crazy busy month for me. I am almost finished with our families Christmas shopping, but I have yet to bake any holiday goodies or ship anything out in the mail. I'm looking forward to the "New Year" and to help me keep on track, I created an altered wooden calendar for my design team project for I Am Roses.

I'm regretting not taking a picture to show you just how hideous this calendar was before I altered it. I purchased it on clearance a while back at my local Hobby Lobby. It's original state was unfinished with a sailor's anchor on it. Yup you read that right. I knew as soon as I saw it I needed to take it home with me and that someday I'd turn it into something fabulous!

I stained the wooden numbers and months using Rangers Distress Stain in Walnut along with the side of the calendar holder. I added a floral print pattern paper by American Crafts and black daisy trim from Pro31designs around the edges. I completed my calendar by embellishing the area which once was home to the anchor with black Prima bling and I Am Roses.

The I Am Rose Products I used to embellish my calendar box are:
Black rose, originally brown (altered with black LSG spray): R76
White Large Crochet flower: JC 2 - 151
Green Sm Skeleton Leaves: K1 - 50
Sm Pink Roses: R3 - 00
Medium Rose Buds: T30 - 151

Be sure to stop by iamroses to find all the beautiful flowers I used and many more.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Scrapping and Happy Holidays!

"All Wrapped Up" IAR December Challenge

I love the month of December! I love listening to Christmas music, decorating the house, baking, and especially giving gifts!

This months December IAR challenge is all about enhancing your gift wrapping with IAR products! Be sure to stop by the IAR blog to find out how you can enter this months challenge.

I love wrapping gifts almost as much as crafting! I love giving a beautifully wrapped gift away. I look at it this way, if you are going to take the time to find the perfect gift for someone, then you should take the time to make it look special.

I had some kraft Christmas printed bags on hand from last year. (I like to stock up after Christmas) The bag is nice as is, but there wasn't anything special about the bag. I loved the vintage look of the bag so I  knew I wanted to keep my IAR flowers in the traditional Christmas colors.  Using several color sprays from my Lindy Stamp Gang collection, I was able to alter my white IAR flowers to the colors I wanted. I love adding texture to projects like this using burlap, ribbon and flower sprays.

I love the way my altered kraft Christmas bag turned out! I can't wait to find the perfect gift to add inside!

I Am Roses flowers used:
T25

Be sure to stop by the IAR blog for all the details on the challenge and don't forget to check out the IAR store where you can find all the flowers I used as well as many more.

Happy scrapping!

Altered Gift Card Holder

Hello there Crafty friends!

Today I thought I'd share a fun altered glassine, chipboard gift card holder I created for Sweenothingsstampco.

I created this altered gift card holder using a chipboard purse as the base of my gift card holder. I printed Uptown Sophie on a piece of dictionary paper and colored her using my Spectrum Noir markers. Behind Uptown Sophie I have a hidden glassine pocket made from a glassine bag were a gift card can be placed. I love how fun and simple this gift card holder turned out!

I've Been Scrapping!

Hello there crafters!

This post comes with a warning! LOL!

WARNING PICTURE HEAVY!!!

Back in October my scrappy friend Jen and I went to the Scrapbook Expo here in Denver.  I was really excited to see "Kiwi Lane Designs" on the list of vendors coming to the expo. Being a youtuber I happen to come across their YT Channel awhile ago and have been following them ever since.

It's was such a pleasure to meet the "Kiwi" girls at the expo and they made me feel so welcome!
If you ever get a chance to go to a Scrapbook Expo and they are there, make sure to stop by their booth and check them out.

I left the expo with a few of their designer templates in hand and after playing with them jumped online and ordered more!

I've been busy scrapbooking during my free time and have been playing with my Kiwi Lane Designer Templates and I'm in love with them. The designer templates remind me of how simple scrapbooking use to be, and that's what I love about their product.  I love that it doesn't matter if you have been scrapbooking as long as I have or if you are new to scrapbooking. I love that you can create with the designer templates in away that suits your scrapbooking style!

Okay are ready to see what I've been creating?

Here are some of the scrapbook layouts I've made using my Kiwi Lane Designer Templates.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Shabby Chic Spool

Wow! Can't believe October is almost over! Halloween is just around the corner and it's been snowing here in Denver for the past two days! Yes, I said snow! Snow days always are the best days to stay inside and scrap!!!

For this months I Am Roses design team project I created an altered Shabby Chic Spool.
I started out creating a large spool from two small ribbon spools by just hot gluing the centers together after removing an end from both spools.  I decorated the spool with Webster's Pages pattern paper and some trim along with various trims and embellishments from my stash.  I  used a beautiful "new" crotchet spray from I Am Roses along with small roses, small flat flowers and skeleton leaves to complete my Shabby Chic Spool. To add a little sparkle to my project, I sprayed it with Lindy Stamp Gang's Scintillating Sliver. I love how it added just the right amount of sparkle to my Shabby Spool.

Be sure to stop by I Am Roses and check out the flowers I used on my project along with all the other amazing flowers they have to offer.

I Am Roses flowers used:
Crochet Spray: SPC1 - 428
Skeleton Leaves Natural: K3-805 / Z
Tiny Pink Flat Flowers: BP / T2 - 3
Mini White Paper Flowers: R2 - 15
Small Whit Crochet Flowers: ZJC1 - 151

Adorable You ~ Pumpkin Sophie Card

Hello there Crafty Friends!

Happy Fall!!!

Today I thought I'd share a fun fall card with you that I created using Pumpkin Sophie.

Pumpkin Sophie has a special place in my heart. She reminds me of my daughter's first Halloween 11 yrs. ago. My daughter had the same outfit on that Sophie is wearing! Yes, she was our little pumpkin!!!

I decided to create a process video sharing how I colored Pumpkin Sophie using color pencils and markers. (I used my Spectrum Noir Markers)

I used various shades of orange & green color pencils blending with odorless mineral oil along with flesh colored Spectrum Noir markers which I share the codes for in my video.

The 3 pattern papers I used are from: Lily Bee:Persnickety, MME: School Daze, & Simple Stories: Summer Fresh.

Don't forget to check out the Sweetnothingsstampco shop were you can find Pumpkin Sophie along with many other cute digi images.

Enjoy the video and thanks for stopping by!
Happy Scrapping!

"A Haunting We Will Go" Blog Hop

Welcome! to the I Am Roses "A Haunting We Will Go" Blog Hop.
If you are hopping along that means you just arrived here from Leanne's blog also know as Luvleescrappin.
Thanks for joining our October Blog Hop!

For this blog hop I created a Home Decor Halloween center piece.

"Witch Parking, Violators will be TOAD!"

I wanted to create something fun, colorful and whimsical to place on my dining room table. I found most of my materials at my local Target shopping center in the dollar bins. Items purchased at target include: 3 small witches brooms and a small vertical tin pail.
This project was super easy to create. To start, I placed a piece of foam inside the tin pail and stuck my 3 brooms into place. I added twine around the bottoms of each broom along with bead sprays and of course I Am Roses flowers. I used a variety of flowers from I Am Roses and I love how beautiful they all look placed on the brooms. I sprayed all my I Am Roses flowers with Scintillating Silver from Lindystampgang.com. I love how sparkly they look! I also sprayed one white R40 I am Roses flower green by using Luscious Lime from Lindystampgang.com

I Am Roses Flowers used include:
R40: White Roses & T30: Semi Open Rose Buds

GB5: Mixed Color Gardenia Paper Flowers

R40: Pink Roses & T30: Semi Open Rose Buds

I also created the bottom half of a witch that included her two legs and the trim of her dress.  My thought behind the witch legs was that the witch was coming to park her broom and she was flying way to fast and landed in the parking zone! LOL! I just love how fun and whimsical adding this element to my center piece made it look.

On the dress I used S10: sm purple flowers 2 tone.

Here is a closer look at the sign on my center piece.
Items used to create this include: Hocus Pocus Sophie digi image from Sweetnothingstampco.com, die cut shape, front and toad were created using my Cricut Gypsy. Small white tag was punched from a punch and the journaling was printed from my computer.
