Valentine Treat Bag for LBBS

Hello Crafters! I have another guest designer project to share with you, for Little Blue Button Stamps. I created a fun, easy, altered valentine treat bag. I used the adorable image, Valentine Eris, which you can also get in a rubber stamp.

I colored her using a combination of my Copics and AC Chromatix. I stickled up her crown, wings and the cute little heart balloon. I love adding a bit of sparkle to my projects.

I used a black and white glassine bag from my local craft store, but you could use any type of treat bag/sandwich bag to create this. I cut with my Sizzix die, Vintage Doily to create the two doilies layered on top of the glassine bag. I used the paper collection Lovely by Authentique. I love clustering small groups of embellishments on my projects and added some adorable fabric flowers by Petallo. I added a few printed Recollections leaves; layered red and green I Am Roses leaves on top of the printed leaves and add the remaining embellishments. For my final touch, I added a few valentine tickets from K&Compnay’s Valentine Ephemera die-cut pack. Now all I need to do is fill it with my favorite candy and give it away to my special valentine.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope I have inspired you to create some treat bags to give away to those special valentines. Be sure to check out all the new images in the shop this month that Little Blue Button has to offer.

Little Blue Button Stamps Guest Designer

Welcome crafty friends! This month I'm Guest designing for Little Blue Button Stamps. I'm super excited about sharing todays project with you and I look forward to sharing again in February. For todays project I created a card using “Heart Lollipop Charlie” a new digi image released for January.

I colored the digi image with a mix of Copic markers and AC Chromatix. I used Copic Atyou Spica pens for the details in her eyes along with a white gel pen. I just love how realistic she looks once completely colored.

For the base of my card I used white card stock, which I cut to a 6x6 size. I then layered on a neutral corrugated paper by DCWV and layered it with a blue polka dot pattern paper from the Sunny Side collection by Pebbles. I punched a coordinating paper from the same collection and added it to the side of my card. I wanted the digi image to look as if she was sitting on something, I found a brick wall digi, which you can find on my pinterest board. I colored the brick wall and used my chalks to add a sky background.

Once colored, I added “Heart Lollipop Charlie” to the wall. I decided I wanted to replace the lollipop she was holding with a rose. I finished up my card by adding some simple lace trim, colored twine, I Am Roses flowers, a clear bling butterfly and some punched clouds.

For the inside I kept it simple. I added some more paper from the Sunny Side collection and for the sentiment I added a We R Memory Keepers journaling card.

I had a lot of fun creating this card and using “Heart Lollipop Charlie”. Be sure to check out all the new images in the shop this month. Thanks for joining me today.
Happy scrapping, Leslie

Kiwi Lane January Blog Hop

Welcome crafty friends!
I'm honored to be back sharing my love of Kiwi Lane templates with you as a guest  designer for this months Kiwi Lane Blog Hop.

If you are hopping in order than you have arrived here from Stephanie's blog

How does winning a $25 dollar certificate to the Kiwi Lane Shop sound? What a silly question!  One random winner from one of the blogs including the Kiwi Lane blog will win. Make sure you are leaving comments on all the Blog Hop blogs to be entered. You have until January 5th, 11:59 mst to comment. The winner will be announced on the Kiwi blog January 9th.

As a past design team member for Kiwi Lane, I was beyond excited to be joining in this months hop!  I love all my Designer templates and continue to use them every time I create a layout!  If you haven't tried any of the templates be sure to pick yourself up a set or two and give them a try. I promise you won't be disappointed!

The Chevron templates are the newest addition to the Kiwi Lane collection and is what I used to create the layers on my scrapbook layout.

I've been wanting to scrapbook an oversized family photo we just had taken in October, but wasn't sure how to go about it, till I started playing with the Chevron templates.

I gathered all my supplies and placed my templates down as a starting off point. I like to think of my templates as moveable sketches.

After tracing the chevron onto my pattern paper I discovered a trick to making the cutting process a bit easier.

Cutting tip: Cut all the zig zags going the same direction first then turn your cut template and repeating cutting the other zig zags. You will end up with a perfect cut chevron.

I loved playing with this template set and found so many fun patterns to create by just moving the templates opposite of each other.

Here's an example of one of the patterns I used on my layout.

And now for my finished scrapbook layout using
Chevrons 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B
 Sunnybrook Lane 2A, 2B
Strips 1 inch
Nature 2T

Thanks for hopping with me today! Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win $25 to the Kiwi shop and I also will be giving one lucky person a set of the Kiwi Chevron templates.(US residents only) Make sure you are a follower here on my blog and I will choose one winner from the comments and post the winner on my blog Jan. 9th. Good Luck!

    Be Yourself Card

    Happy New Year!

For my first project for the new year I created a fun, whimsical card.  I just love the way this card turned out!
This is my submission project for My Style Stamps design team call. I just recently became aware of My Style Stamps on youtube. I was so pleased to find out that you didn't have to create a project with a My Style Stamps image, in order to submit for the dt call.  I created this card using "Honey" a Saturated Canary stamp. I colored her using a combination of Copics and AC Chromatix markers. I colored her non traditional, and I love how fun and colorful her hair and outfit turned out! I added a few 3D Butterfly sticker embellishments from Paper House, which are amazing! They are so dimensional and sparkly. Just what I needed to complete my card. Be sure to stop by My Style Stamps and check out all the adorable stamps and embellishments they have to offer.
